After you walk out of the wash, you walk up and over a hill or two. Here's the view from the first time you get to look back over your shoulder at some height.

It gets a little warmer, or maybe we were just warming up ourselves because the hike was starting to be a challenge. It was 63 ° at this point.

The wash you walked up is the gray looking “trail” in the middle of the picture. It fades off into the distance to the trail head.

The really faint straight gray line to the left of the wash are tracks leading to the first tower that was on the US side (now collapsed). That first tower is on the far end of the line; the first standing tower near the trail is towards the closer end of the line. I assume cars/people/horses created these tracks when they built the tramway. It's an obvious physical marker because it's so straight; I used it to guage our progress.
