
This is the view from the head of the canyon. You're looking at
half of Boquillas Mexico ; it's the buildings that are partly obscured
by the hill on the right, on the other side of the flood plain.
If you look closely, there's a dark spec on the “shoulder” of
the left canyon wall. That's the last standing tower you just hiked
from.
On our first hike at this spot, my wife was exhausted and one boot
was too tight. We broke out the gorp for lunch and sat, protected
from the wind by a crevice. I left her to hike around to to see what
